  • Yes, we do! We encourage you to give us a call first to check artist availability for your service

  • Once you've filled out the tattoo request form and submitted any reference photos, we'll get in touch to give you a price quote. To ensure the most accurate estimate, please provide as much detail as possible when describing your tattoo concept, including its placement and size.

  • Our pricing differs according to the artist, with a shop minimum of $150. The final cost depends on factors such as the design's size, level of detail, its placement on your body, and the specific artist you select. Additionally, some artists may have their own unique minimum billing requirements.

  • Hydrate: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment. Well-hydrated skin can make the tattooing process more comfortable and improve the healing afterward.

Eat Well: Have a nutritious meal before your appointment to ensure you have the energy and stamina for the session.

Avoid Alcohol and Blood Thinners: Refrain from alcohol and blood-thinning medications for at least 24 hours before your appointment, as they can increase bleeding and make the process more difficult.

Wear Suitable Clothing: Dress in clothing that allows easy access to the area where you'll get your tattoo. This helps the artist work more efficiently.

Protect from the Sun: Keep it protected from direct sunlight to prevent fading and damage.

Avoid Swimming: Refrain from swimming or submerging your tattoo in water for the first few weeks to prevent infection and ensure proper healing.

Communicate with Your Artist: If you have any specific questions or concerns about the tattoo process or aftercare, don't hesitate to discuss them with your artist before the appointment.

  • Cleaning: Gently wash the tattoo with mild, fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water. Use your clean hand to avoid excessive scrubbing.

Moisturizing: After cleaning your tattoo with mild soap, apply a light layer of Aquaphor once your skin is dry.

Switch to fragrance-free lotion after 2-3 days. Avoid picking at scabs; let them fall off naturally.

Protection: Keep your tattoo covered with a clean, non-stick bandage for the first few hours. After that, let it breathe, but avoid tight clothing that might rub against it.

Avoid Sun and Water: Protect your tattoo from direct sunlight and avoid swimming or submerging it in water for at least a few weeks. Prolonged exposure to the sun can cause fading, and water can introduce bacteria.

No Picking or Scratching: It's essential to resist the urge to pick at scabs or scratch your tattoo, as this can damage the design and lead to infection.

Follow Artist's Instructions: Your tattoo artist may have specific aftercare recommendations, so be sure to follow their guidance for the best results.

  • Our talented artists can typically work their magic to cover up or enhance most tattoos, even the trickier ones, leaving no trace of the original design. If, by any chance, we believe that a successful cover-up isn't feasible, we'll have an open conversation with you before scheduling and explore alternative options to ensure your utmost satisfaction. At Monsters Ink, our dedicated artists prioritize client satisfaction above all else, taking immense pride in their craft.

  • Yes, we certainly do! Our skilled piercer, San, is available for appointments from Tuesday to Saturday, between 12 pm and 6 pm. If you're interested in getting a piercing, you can schedule your appointment at www.MonstersInkNJ.com/booking

  • Cleaning: Clean the piercing site regularly using a saline solution or a mild, fragrance-free soap and warm water.

Avoid Touching: Refrain from touching the piercing with unwashed hands, as this can introduce bacteria and lead to infections.

Rotating Jewelry: If your piercer recommends it, you can gently rotate the jewelry to prevent it from adhering to the skin as the piercing heals.

Avoid Harsh Products: Avoid using alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or other harsh chemicals on the piercing, as these can be too harsh and slow down the healing process.

Oral Piercings: For oral piercings (e.g., tongue or lip), follow additional care instructions such as using an alcohol-free mouthwash after meals.

Avoid Swimming: Refrain from swimming in pools, hot tubs, or bodies of water during the initial healing period to avoid exposing the piercing to contaminants.

Watch for Signs of Infection: Keep an eye out for signs of infection, such as increased redness, swelling, pain, or discharge. If you suspect an infection, contact your piercer or a healthcare professional promptly.

Patience: Healing times vary by piercing type but can take several weeks to several months. Be patient and follow the aftercare instructions diligently to promote proper healing.

Consult Your Piercer: If you have any specific concerns or questions about the aftercare of your particular piercing, don't hesitate to consult with your piercer. They can provide personalized guidance.
